If the general public are half as excited as our casual staff family when they see the venue for the first time then we’re in for a winning start at Bankwest Stadium.

Last Saturday, more than 1100 staff came into the Stadium for the first time and their reactions – astonished, excited, overwhelmed – perfectly captured what our new venue means to people.

And how can you not get swept up in the enthusiasm? With ages ranging from 15 to 81-years-old, our casual staff covers the full spectrum.

Customer service staff, food and beverage attendants, chefs, waiters, stewards, greenkeepers, distribution and logistics general hands – all had their first look at the new Stadium and play a key role in bringing it to life on event days.

And, in a testament to the networking and planning done by our Staffing Operations team, more than 65% of the casual workforce at Bankwest Stadium will be people from the Western Sydney region, and all of our staff will have worked at least 1 shift at another of our venues before their first shift at Bankwest Stadium.

So bring on the Community Open Day this Sunday, when our casual and permanent team comes together to deliver Bankwest Stadium’s very first event!
